One of my New Years resolutions this year is to really kick it into gear in terms of traveling, especially since I graduate college in a quick 5 months! 🙂 However I realized that I still have so much of my own country to see, so why not in the meantime begin to explore some near-by cities?!
Being only an hour and a half outside of Chicago, I decided to take a quick road trip up to Milwaukee. Let me just say, Milwaukee is certainly a hidden gem of a city. As we drove in, I couldn’t help but feel a mixture of my two hometowns, Cincinnati and Chicago. We stayed at The Pfister Hotel and were greeted with a beautiful room and gorgeous view of the lake, as well as some delicious fruits, cheese, and a delicious bottle of wine!
We had a relaxing weekend, enjoying the city and some old friends while trying out some of Milwaukee’s delicious restaurants and bars. The sense of community in some of these neighborhoods amazed me! Everyone I met was extremely friendly and welcoming!
My favorite part of our stay was definitely The Pfister’s bed and breakfast ❤ From the eggs benny, to the french toast and the marvelously fresh smoothie, everything was beyond satisfying! A definite must during your stay!
For our last night, we went up to Blu at the top of the hotel and enjoyed live music while trying some of their delicious cocktails. After a beautiful weekend, The Pfister Hotel definitely made it on my list of hotels to stay at!
