The CFDA Fashion Incubator is housing 10 new labels this year. Also recognized by Vogue, they are definitely names that you want to be on the look out for. Here’s a sneak peak at each designer and what they represent.
Thaddeus O’Neil is a men’s luxury play-wear brand for “après surf inspired by the hobos of the sea”. This brand consists of relaxed fits and bright bold colors, giving a chic bohemian twist for all ocean lovers while maintaining that American classic cool.
Next we have Haerfest, pronounced like “harvest”. This brand is particularly one of my favorites for its minimal and reductive aesthetic. This brand is dedicated to creating and producing simple modern classics and is known for their timeless backpacks and wallets.
Daniel DuGoff for DDugoff takes men’s basics and makes them a little more special with clean shapes and easy fabrics. His collections lie between the staying at home and going to work lifestyle, because really, why should those be separate!
Aurora James for Brother Vellies brings you fashion with a purpose. Her goal is to not only showcase fashion of African shoe-wear to the rest of the world, but at the same time creates and sustains job in Africa, as all her products are handmade in the country itself.
